On: Sept. 21-23
From: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
At: Mediation Services Winnipeg (1200 Portage Ave)
Course Description:
Are you the kind of person who finds themselves helping others resolve their conflicts? Do the dynamics of interpersonal communication spark your curiosity? Could having some training in third-party conflict resolution skills improve your employment or professional opportunities?
If you’ve said “yes” to any of the above questions, then you’ll want to register for the upcoming Mediation Skills 1 training program.
In this 3-day, action-packed, in-person training (physically distanced), you’ll begin your journey of learning much more about:
- The role of the professional mediator
- How to conduct individual interviews as part of initial screening and assessment
- How to plan and prepare for the first joint session
- How to provide coaching and follow-up with the clients between sessions
- How to carry out joint meetings in the workplace and/or community-based situations
This is your opportunity to learn about mediation from Facilitated Solutions professionals who have had many years of experience leading mediations within a variety of contexts – families, organizations, and private companies – and continue to do this work on a daily basis. A HUGE bonus of this small-group, live training is that each participant is provided with an opportunity to be coached by one of the trainers in a role play practice session. You don’t get that from watching a You-Tube video!
Mediation Services and Facilitated Solutions are working collaboratively to provide this program. Space is limited and this September’s Mediation Skills 1 is filling up quickly. Register today via Mediation Services
